Today at gifted to start out, we did something called SILLY SENTENCES if you've seen the show WHO'S LINE IS IT ANYWAY? And you if like it you'd love this activity we would take a sentance out of a bag randomly and we would be told what situation we were in and get a conversation started and somewhere we would say our sentance somewhere in the conversation. Next we did something called HIDDEN PERSUADERS. We would learn about different kinds of ads. This week we learned about 3 ads called name calling, image advertisement, and plain folks. Then we watched a video on youtube and filled out on paper which kinda ad it was. Last we did something called
VALENTINE ISLAND where a group of two would think of a valentine :-) themed thing and theme our island after the valentine :-) themed thing me and my partner decided base our island of candy because thats what some give each other, And that about explains our day at GIFTED!!!!!!! :-)

A Swinging Good Day

Today we did a cool thing called "Swinging Science" it's cool because you get to put a string and different items and you get to do it with your friends oh don't forget you can do it anywhere you can tie a string. You can do it with alot of different things to tie on one of the ends. We used the scientific method to figure out how certain things would effect how far the string would swing like a pendulum. We changed the weight, length, and size of the swing to see how it effected how fast the pendulum would swing. Light things were faster and so was the medium size string. It was very cool!
