Lighthouse field trip

Today in GIFTED we went on a field trip to the st.Augustine lighthouse. The first mission: climb the lighthouse it had 219 steps. I was very scared to go up but I conquered my FEAR OF HEIGHTS! In the st.Augustine lighthouse museum there was a section called make it move. Make it move was a attraction of numerous simple machines that could could teach you about movement! Before the lighthouse had electricity the lighthouse keepers had to use melted pig fat.We went to the observation deck and I went to the lenses room and saw the light bulb behind plastic glass. In 1936 this lighthouse was the last one to get electricity.
